Summary: mp3play~ can't open files with tags

Initial Comment:
whenever i try to open a mp3-file that has ID3-tags in it, i get the error message:
"Layer II not supported!"
after removing the tags (with audacity) it opens normally as MPEG 1.0 Layer III

tested on mac os x 10.5.7 and ubuntu 9.04; with  pd extended 0.41.4
