So i try to make a test build myself. I try the "i don't have  
libtools" method (described at [0]). And the show stops at:

config.status: creating makefile
makefile:430: *** missing separator.  Stop.
----8<----

The system is Mac OS X 10.4 Intel. The tools come from Xcode 2.4.1.

Any pointers?
