Initial Comment:
With Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 and pd-extended Pd version 0.42.5-extended-20100516 [hid] outputs 2 events for every keypress with an AT Translated Set 2 keyboard. The attached patch is the simplest patch to reproduce this error.

I can confirm that this also happens with Pd version 0.42.5-extended-rc2 on
Ubuntu 10.04
