Summary: 20% CPU when idle with Portaudio driver
Initial Comment:
On my 2.5GHz Macbook Pro, Pd's server process runs at approx. 20% CPU when the Portaudio driver is used. I can understand that this is possibly due to limitations in Portaudio's real-time support, but Pd shouldn't be doing anything with Portaudio when DSP is off.
Note: this problem is alluded to in bug 2791638 as a 'known issue' so this might be a duplicate report. I couldn't find one however.
