[PD-dev] search pathes and externals

Hi all

I just opened a new bug about [readanysf~] not using search paths when
opening a file. Only later, I noticed that also [mrpeach/binfile] does
not seem to respect search paths. 

Now I wonder whether I am supposed to expect at all external objects to
also respect the search paths as built-in classes do ([textfile],
[readsf~], [soundfiler], Pd itself when loading libraries and
abstractions).

Is using the search paths (including the paths specified by [declare])
easy to implement for an external? If so, should one expect them to use
the search paths, respectively can it be considered a bug if they don't?
