[PD-dev] message box for symbol generation

I just had a thought for an easy way to generate symbols that are  
numbers or that contain spaces: use the message box.  What if these  
generated proper symbols:

[symbol 123(    [symbol blah blah( -- makes "blah blah"

Can anyone think of downsides to this?  I can't imagine anyone relying  
on the fact that [symbol blah blah( now makes "blah" and drops the "  
blah"
