Initial Comment:
On Mac OS X 10.5.8 running Pd-extended 0.43.1 2011-10-26, If I open tclpd/examples/bitmap-madness.pd, right-click on the 40x40 bitmap and select Help, I get the intro-help.pd.  If I close intro-help.pd, then right-click on the 40x40 bitmap again, then select Help, Pd crashes everytime with this crashdump:
