[PD-dev] webcam color balance from gem

Hi,

would there be a straightforward way to adjust the hardware color
balance of a webcam through GEM? Do you have experience in
getting/setting those attributes with the PS3 eye webcam which has
been used in a lot of Pd projects? perhaps installing a new driver
with more controls?

I am under Ubuntu 11.10 64bit with a 3.0.0-12 kernel.

I am also trying to develop/improve v4l2 handling in gem and pdp, but
I'd like to get some of the community input and wisdom first.
