Initial Comment:
When starting pd-extended on Linux with -nogui and a patch containing a plugin~ external, pd-extended fails to start with this error message:

"pd-extended: plugin~.c:553: plugin_tilde_ladspa_open_plugin: Assertion `sample_rate != 0' failed.
Pd: signal 6"
