Initial Comment:
for reasons unknown to me, most applications in the jack world start couting their ports with "1".
Pd is the big exception here (starting with 0).

this is bad, as it prevents us to use tools like jack.plumbing to handle connections (where one can use regular expression with backreferences to describe how jackports should (not) be connected; this only works if both applications use the same numbering scheme)

the attached patch makes Pd use "standard conformant" portnames.
