spec2_shift~ seems to fail with negative shifts.  lrshift~ does not seem to take an argument for the shift amount as a variable, so I am (apparently) stuck in trying to do some spectra shifts. I have attached a patch for testing spec2_shift showing the error. I may have the shift directions reversed as i was trying both directions to see if it was me.
