** [bugs:#1165] [msgfile] does not recognize [end( when loading a file**

**Status:** open
**Group:** v0.46
**Created:** Thu Oct 16, 2014 02:01 PM UTC by Gilberto Agostinho
**Last Updated:** Thu Oct 16, 2014 02:01 PM UTC
**Owner:** nobody

A message [end( does not affect the [msgfile] object if it loaded a file from disk, as opposed as manually adding the lines via [add(. Here is how to reproduce it:

- load a text file in [msgfile] and connect a numberbox to the rightmost outlet
- send a message [end, where(, which should output the number of lines in that numberbox, but it doesn't
- now try [add, end, where(, which adds an empty line to the end of the file. Pd will now show the correct number of lines (+ the added line).

This bug is not present if the user creates his own data via [add( or [add2(.

Tested on Pd version 0.43.4-extended 64-bit, Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon 64-bit.
