** [bugs:#1201] Midi port setup in OSX (Windows?]**
**Status:** open
**Group:** v0.46
**Labels:** midi osx
**Created:** Tue May 26, 2015 04:12 AM UTC by Anonymous

Pd version 0.46-6
Mac OS X 10.5.8/Intel
Mark of the Unicorn Midi Timepiece USB and Midi Timepiece Serial/Parallel (networked for 16x16 in/out)
2 related bugs'
GUI: The midi setup panel lacks scroll bars on the port selection list. Anything past the first 20 or so ports cannot be accessed from this panel.
Command line : Any attempt to use the standard midi flags to create more than 9 midi ports will fail and return a nonsensical error for each new port creation command beyond the 9 maximum.
Additionally, Pd cannot recognize any single external midi device driver beyond the same 9 port limit. Any attempt to connect the above referenced 16x16 midi interface beyond port 9 results in failure.
These same issues may be present in Windows, I haven't had the chance to fully test.
This is not an issue with Linux and alsamidi.
