  The shipping drivers with the SoundBlaster Live for NT have _horrible_
problems (ie, they are unusable in many situations).  Make certain that
you get the newest drivers from the Creative web site.  This could very
easily be your problem.

  Hopefully a couple of the guys from E-mu/Creative are hanging around
the list and can give a better answer...
