Hi out there !

Ok, this is an announcement for the brave !

Until late in the evening yesterday I did put together the linux version
of pd-0.25TEST3.

This version features a more or less rewritten sounddriver access on linux,
by adding multichannel support. I will test this this week, but I thought
I put

pd-0.25TEST3linux.tar-gz on
<ftp://epy.co.at/pub/pd/linux> and <ftp://iem.mhsg.ac.at/pub/pd/LINUX>

this version includes, except the new features of pd-0.25

- changes in the path handling (start searching in the current directory)
- multichannel support (have to test this first). This should work with more
than one cards,
whereas I think it only works if the cards are all the same brand, because of
- fixed the error messages in the table object (more improvements to come)
- for libc5 and slackware adicts ... startup file support too (if someone could
test this ?)

I hope Miller and me can somehow merge these changes for the final 0.25 version.
I´m planning to
make path handling generic for all platforms (NT and SGI too).
