on debian it's:
undefined symbol __bzero, can-t load library ..
and crashes when i open the help-expr.pd 

in suse it loads 'ok', then thinks:
/serv/femto/pd/toys/help-expr.pd
help-expr.pd 12 0 11 1 (gatom->expr) connection failed
help-expr.pd 19 0 18 1 (message->expr) connection failed
