pd on alpha: gui oddity

hello,

i am just playng around with pd on a dec alpha. 
the horizontal lines of the object boxes
do not end at the right corner but go on until
the right corner of the window, more or less
like this:

             ___________________________________
            |   dac~  |
            |_________|_________________________

apart from this funny apperance everything works.

i was trying the widget demo which comes with perl-tk
no problems there...

specs:

alpha pc 164 (guenter i guess you remember that box :-) )
srm-console
matrox millennium
debian linux potato
pd030 (comes with potato)
kernel 2.2.15
