more LinuxPPC/PD issues

Today I can not run PD-0.30 in any of the two different PowerMacs I use 
to.
OS: LinuxPPC 1999 / LinuxPPC 2000. Both are networked to the same 
server.
Error found: localhost not found
	     (inet protocol not installed??) ... and no pd-window
when Ctrl-c -> Pd: signal 2.
'wish' opens the window fine.
Does it have something to do with my network? ftp, web etc works.
