you could fake taking a line number using a trigger.. first to turn off a
spigot so you don't get any values out of the qlist, then a rewind,
followed by an until that will bang n-1 "next" messages, then a mesage to
turn the spigot back on, and then a final "next" to get the desired line
:)

after i started typing that i thought i should make a patch as an
example.. but i'm in abit of a rush, so i'll have to do that later if
what i've written doesn't make sense.
