Hardisc recording/playing and linux 2.4.2

Hello,

I would like to inform people interested in playing/recording large audio files
with pd that the linux kernel 2.4.2 I am testing now reveals itself far
"superior".

I have been able to play 20 monos track (6 minutes) without glitches with the
standard readsf~ object. This number is not an actual limitation, but a simple
test i did.

I havn't yet applyed the low latency patch which should improve things again.

This is good news I hope for any PDers.
