[PD] connect stream socket: connection refused

we had the same problems here, and the workaround we found out, was to
downgrade to kernel-2.4.3 (this of course only works, if you are currently
working on kernel-2.4.4 )

but on the other hand, this is no real solution either (though better than
rebooting all the time, i guess)
