[PD] Problems maximising my Gem window

  If you are in single buffer mode, then you need to send a "bang" to the
gemwin to clear the frame buffer.  The "desktop" that you are seeing is
garbage in the frame buffer.  There isn't really anything that GEM can do
about it.

  You could use the gemmouse object to trigger a clear when you click on the
gem window.
