[PD] PD reading data from textfiles

I was wondering if it it possible to read data from a
textfile? I have written a program which outputs a
list of roughly a thousand frequencies, it is possible
to read this data systematically one after another
until an oscillator has read all the frequencies, it's
rather like having a thousand message boxs being
banged, one after another, using a metro as a timing
device, which is obviously not an option! Thanks in
advance!
