[PD] Simple Compiling error on windows98

Andy have you tried compiling the externs with VC++
rather than using the make files, I also had this
problem so rather than get totally frustrated I just
compiled them in VC++, actually I think it's better to
compile them this way because you also get an
understanding of the whole process of creating
objects! let me know if you need any help with the
compiling process!
