[PD] Message boxes?

Ok, I want ot change the text inside a message box by
sending another piece of text to it. I can easily
change the contents of a message box with 'set $1' for
numbers but what do I have to do to change text? For
instance with numbers

1234  |        this goes to a message box with set $1
--------       in it

set $1 |      this outputs whatever number comes into 
--------      in to it
|
|
--------
 1234  |   And hey presto,
--------
but how do i do this with text? Cheers
