[PD] pix_video pal

hi,

yesterday i recompiled gem with guenter's pal-support for the pix_video
object (http://iem.kug.ac.at/mailinglists/pd-list/2000-07/0028.html).
it compiled fine but when i try to use pix_video now i always get
/dev/video0: Device or resource busy.
the old Gem.pd_linux' pix_video has no such problems (unless the missing
pal support and thus being black and white). xawtv works perfect, too.

anyone?
