[PD] segmented patch cords

I've started working on segmented patch cords. No promises that it will
work, but I think I've gotten past the "proof of concept" stage (still
need to figure out cut/paste and loading/saving). So before I go any
further, I figured I'd ask and see if anyone out there is also working on
this.
