they (well most of them) are still seperate

I beg to differ, I really like the modular idea, that allows me to keep
the pd's memory footprint small.I don't need all the externs all the 
time - even with very useful libs that I use all the time like ggee I
prefer the load one extern at a time instead of the whole lib approach.

Would you load GEM just because you need want |alternate| ??

The only option I see would be putting the most useful stuff (ggee,zexy,
markex,add yours ...) into one huge lib for people that don't want to
compile themselves but I'm not sure if this would be worth the effort.
