[PD] [announce][Gem] well, here it is....

so i got gem 0.87_2 to compile fine and i made and installed the 
libquicktime listed above, but i still get the following error when 
gem loads:

/usr/lib/libquicktime.so: undefined symbol: g_log

any ideas or suggestions???
