[PD] render to hard disc out of gem?

i made a small example patch for pix_write:

there is also a texture for quickly testing the patch:
http://www.softpink.com/gem/camou.tif

this should work for the gemplus0.3 version of pix_write; in the current
linux-test release of gem0.87 the "auto" messages work slightly different.

also take a look at the list-archive, there was a thread about pix_write
in nov 2001.
