[PD] ASIO latency

latency again, ...
PD is running on W2k with the RME (Multiface) ASIO drivers, also with
multichannels (thanks to joreg), but latency is still bad.
i measure a latency of ~1536 samples, although pd printout shows a
latency of 128 samples at the startup.
how can i reduce that?
other progs like cubase don´t show that behaviour (using the same
asio-driver), does portaudio/pd have some additional buffers?
