[PD] how do i play a 30 min soundfile?

I'm workin on a vj demo (>>gem) and can do without the latency... I'll put
some quicktimes online as soon as they're ready.

and i did try to install debian but got stuck on the xserver.... ( hey it's
only been two months since i learned about pd and gem; and it's wicked!)

As of 0.35 (still in test version) you can use the "readsf~" object to
stream from disk.
