[PD] pd-gui wishlist

this is unrelated, but does pd have a step function (a la an IDE)?

the bang function somebody else mentioned is a half-assed version of
this. max has one, though it's not that well done, that i can show you if
you don't know what i mean. (the visual studio one i think it pretty
good, but it doesn't translate directly to the visual object-connection
interface. the best way to do this would involve some sort of
highlighting in the GUI - max doesn't do this, nor anything else all that
helpful. would be awesome for debugging.

so yeah, run through the processing tree, hgihlight each point and give
sets of values (perhaps visually in GUI as well as in pd window) whenever
appropriate (snag at large tables, etc.).
