this is one feature of max that i liked and would like to implement once i
learn tcl/tk .  the other max feature i think i very very very useful is the
segmented patch cords [able to do bended cords].

i was thinking of starting a gui environment for pd patches in java .  but
again i know know enough about how pd's gui code works.
