[PD] piano roll

[the inimitable mad switch]

i use win2k and i saw a while ago that someone had
made a piano roll interface or something but i think 
it was for linux
i dont have any programming experience but plan to 
eventually switch to linux and be a developer-type :)
but not quite yet so until i begin on that path
i want to use PD for making music
does anyone know of or have any plans for having a 
zoomable, [polyphonic!] piano roll sequence table
thing for making and holding midi sequences that can
be longer and more complicated than step sequencing 
allows?
i love what PD is capable of but i feel that this is
just one important part of the large range of options 
available for composition but it is left out..
