hi.

i have external module sending midi out and need to test it somewhere what
numbers it is actually really sending. 

i'd like to know if :

i set object notein, ctlin ...etc it will recieve something as soon as i
get it into my pc. how does it know from which port to read the data ?

also i'm trying to hack midi/game port in my souncard and/or mainboard,
but not getting anything.

where to look for answers ?
