[PD] escape characters in messages

The possibility to write any string, would be very useful to have. We 
need it for filenames, etc. Also PD is used for more and more things and 
it would be nice, if you could write any arbitrary string:
"Blabla !;*,%2\" asdas "

For example Olaf's Oggcast~ where I have to use = or _ for spaces.
