There will be a meeting of the Chicago Are Max Users this Monday, 
November 4.  More info:

What is it?

A meeting for users of Max/Msp, PD, and jMax.  It's a place to 
present ideas, get help, and meet like minded artists.  A PA, video 
projector, etc are provided, and feel free to bring patches, laptops, 
and beer*.

The next meeting will feature a presentation of the Mac OSX port of GEM.

Where is it?

Splinter Group
450 N Leavitt - just south of Grand and west of Damen
