[PD] serial port for input?

dear list 

i would like to use the serial port on my win-plattform as an input for some stuff of selfmade controllers
using pin2 for plus and pin5 for minus
it works with my bascom-compiler fine 
i tryed the lpin and i2c232 externals but they dont work
are there other externals witch i dont now?
