[PD] Dynamic receive

Related to this thread, can anyone point me to some docs on the "old"
behavior of netreceive? [netreceive 3000 0 old] basically has "sprinkler"
(dynamic message forwarding) behavior built in, but how do I switch
between udp and tcp? Are there any other hidden features?
