[PD] GEM, troubles

hi,

I just installed gem again on a different debian/unstable box running
kernel 2.4.20

I had some troubles compiling with gcc-3.2, reverting to 2.95 seemed
to fix this then on load I got:

> /usr/local/lib/pd/externs/Gem.pd_linux: \ 
> /usr/local/lib/pd/externs/Gem.pd_linux: undefined symbol: pDamping__Ffffff
> /usr/local/lib/pd/externs/Gem: can't load library

then I looked at the makefile for the auxlibs and changed cc/cxx to 2.95 
but this did not solve my problems ...

any hints ?
