[PD] soundfiler with stereo files

Hi list!
This might be a naïve question but I don't really understand how
soundfiler treats stereo files.... How to send each channel into
a different table. Which channel gets read?
I understand it can be done using sfplay~ into a tablewrite~ but
then I would need some other external to get the sample size
for table resizing and I don't know of any other than soundfiler
to do this on OS X.
