[PD] Setting Pd's period size to be fine with Quattro

Hallo,

I came a great deal further in regard to my Quattro problem. Sleep is
good. I downgraded the kernel from 2.4.20 to 2.4.18, and now I don't
get the snd_pcm_start error anymore. I also can run jack much better,
but only with "-alsa -n 3". If I use "-alsa -n 2" there are a lot of
dropouts.

Now in Pd, something strange happens. I can run pd using hw:0 and then
open the "Test audio/midi" patch.

Where normally the TEST TONE sounds like

  "doooooooooooooooooooooooooh"

I get an interrupted tone like:

  "doooh doooh doooh doooh"

I suppose, this has to do with a buffer size somewhere, but does
anyone know what and how I should set?

Thank you,

ciao
