Yep. Currently I get along with using Jack, it seems. I'm running a
very complex 'performance' patch with auto-play function for an hour
on Jack now, and apart from a bug in a LADSPA plugin, it runs and runs
and runs...

Jack definetly would be a possible model for copy-and-paste action, I
guess. It seems, there is a lot of ALSA knowledge hidden inside Jack.
