I wonder if Jack changed it's API between version 0.5x and 0.6x? I'm having no 
luck now with any applications using jack 0.6x. 

The Jack website is very vague on this subject - it says only that now with 
0.61 the Jack API is stable. Does this mean that something changed between 
0.51 an 0.61, or not?
