i'm a linux newbie too, but i think you need the source codes of tcl/tk before 
you can compile pd... i don't know debian, so i don't know it the sources are 
with the binary deb packages. so try to find tcl/tk-sources deb package, and 
install it

please some1 correct me if i'm wrong.
