[PD] windows 2000 latency?

Hi,

my Win98SE, pd0.35-1, SBLive, kXDriver(ASIO) Setup has a 60msec latency
as measured with MSP's latency patch. Same setup except kxDriver(MME)
is about 100msec.

I would be VERY interested if there are other people out there with a
similar setup that have better figures for ASIO latency...i think
60msec is kind of worst you could get...

Under Linux 2.2.18 on the same Computer i get 10msec out of the box.
That can be brought down to 6msec if i use fifo scheduling (-rt switch).
However no low latency- or preemptive kernel patches applied. Should be
better with them.

I've been told that low latency under windows is a matter of good
designed cards like the RME Hammerfall or HDSP ones...under linux you
can get away with consumer cards as you can see with my figures....

regards

Reinhard
