hi josh,

...[pdp_xv] doesn't work right now on OSX' X11(perhaps in a future 
version):  use [pdp_glx] instead...there is an abstraction that allows 
you to choose one or the other, but it's not consistently used 
throughout the example patches...[pdp_v4l] won't work, for obvious 
reasons...
