[PD] yo pd peeps

       could any of you please comment on the current state of Pd, and in
particular compared to the likes of Max, jMax, Spat, you name it. What are
the approximate user-bases of each software package and how fast is each
one growing?

       as far as expansions and externals are concerned, approximately how
many does each package have? if you've used Max or jMax or something
similar could you do a short comparison of them to Pd? Thanks,
