[PD] Newbie without GUI

Hi,

I've installed pd v0.36 on my Win98SE system but I can't get the GUI to run. 
When I run pd.exe the command prompt window opens but nothing else happens. 
I suspect this has something to do with the "network link" mentioned in the 
installation doc but I don't know anything about TCP/IP.

Can anyone help me out with this?
